Nets vs. Suns

    On Thursday, January 30, 1997, Miss Romagnola's 5th grade class and the
Kearny Police Department (KPD) went to Continental Airlines Arena to see 
the New Jersey Nets play the Phoenix Suns. Our class was chosen to represent D.A.R.E.
    First, the K.P.D. blocked off Laurel Avenue because we were going as their guests.
Then they gave us Nets tote bags. We walked on the court and had our pictures taken by the 
team photographer. We were excited! The best part of the evening 
was when we were caught, on the big screen, doing the Y.M.C.A.
    When the game was over, the Nets had won. We had a great time, thanks to the K.P.D.
