Track and Field Day 1997

On June 6, 1997, Schuyler School held it's annual "Track and Field Day." The annual field day is run by Mrs. Madeline Panzella, Schuyler's physical education (otherwise known as gym) teacher. The PTA does A LOT, too. They gave us T-Shirts (which were really cool) and ice pops. It was hot, so the ice pops hit the spot.

The teachers and students played a big part in this day. The teachers gave up their time and a full day's work, to let the students compete and have FUN!! The students behaved wonderfully and showed a lot of school spirit!!! Hey don't forget the 6th graders' war chant!

To start the day, the American Flag was carried out into the school yard by Schuyler's Student Council President, Lauren Svec. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by the Vice President, Michael Munley. The National Anthem was sung by our former music teacher, Mrs. Astrella. Then, the races were off. The competitions continued throughout the day, until the end of the school day. All and all, it was a good day.
